does learnswahilionline work? |
| Registered
students receive access to the learnswahilionline lessons online, in which lesson
material is posted. Students can learn at their own pace, whenever they
like, wherever they may be, from any part of the world. Teaching is relatively
interactive, with on-going feedback when needed, and monitoring. A Comment
section at the end of each lesson and or level will give learners the
opportunity to actively interact with the Swahili speakers. |
After
I register when do I start? |
Once
you register and make your payments you will receive your username and
password within 48 hours of payment verification to log on into our online
lessons. |

Requirements: |
Do
I need broad band access or high internet technology in order to take
the classes? |
learnswahili does not use streaming media (voice and video), in the lessons because
not everyone has high speed modems or broadband access, and since pronounciation
differs with different speakers in different regions, voice lessons are not used untill you get
to level 400 of the swahili lessons. |
What
hardware do I need? |
You
can either be a PC or Mac user to take the lessons. You will need an internet
connection, off course, and a web browser (either Netscape 3.0 or Internet
Explorer 3.0 or higher) |

How
do I enroll and make the payment? |
Go
to 'ORDER NOW' on the home page and then pay online with your VISA/MASTER
card. |
I
do not have a credit card; how do I pay by check, money order or bank
draft? |
First send us an E-mail by clicking the contact us mailbox with your registration details. Then make your international money order payable to learnswahilionline and post it to:- 945 J St.# 339 Davis, CA USA Your account will be set up after your payment has been verified. Lessons: |
After
my first lesson/level how do I start my next class? |
Once
you are done with your first lesson, the next lesson will be available
for you. If you have paid for your next level, it will be available for
you too. |
What
is the grading policy? |
The
lessons have no kind of grading. learnswahilionline does not have letters or
grades posted only helpful critiques(if needed) that comment on your progress.learning
will be at your own pace and diligence. |
How
long are the lessons? |
| Each lesson is designed to take not more than 45 minutes. 15-30 minutes is the average time expected on each lesson, and some are divided into 2 or 3 parts. Again, the learners will learn at their own pace. FOR SECURITY REASONS, YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD FOR ANY GIVEN LEVEL WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR ONLY 5 WEEKS. |
